The brand names POLYFLAM®, SCHULAMID® FR and SCHULADUR® FR represent all flame retardant compounds. Schulman modifies nearly all polymers this way and has gained high expertise for several applications and market. Products from standard UL94 classifications like V-2 or V-0, up to high engineered solutions like 5V or glow wire test with “no flame” performance are offered in our portfolio.

Key characteristics of POLYFLAM are:

  • Flame retardant compounds based on several polymers
  • UL94 V-2 or V-0 classifications
  • Glow wire flammability Index
  • Glow wire ignition behavior (no flame)
  • Several UL approved grades
  • Grades with low smoke density and toxicity
